Film critic, programmer, and scenario developer
Andrew Mohsen is currently a Senior Programmer at the El Gouna Film Festival, in addition to his work as a representative for the FILM O'CLOCK Festival.
International Film Festival in Egypt, and a consultant for the Hollywood Arab Film Festival in the United States. He also works as a script reader and developer in several production companies. He began his career in the field of film criticism in 2016, and during this period he participated with his articles in several publications and websites, most notably Al-Maqal newspaper, a website in art, and a media website in Egypt, in addition to the websites of Manshur, Haya magazine, and Fasala on.
At the Arab level, during his career he held several positions in many international festivals, most notably his work as artistic director of the Cairo International Film Festival, after he took over the management of the short film competition at the festival for several years. He also served as artistic director of the Aswan Women’s Film Festivals and the Ismailia Documentary and Short Film Festivals. He also participated in various juries at several festivals, most notably CPH:DOX
